CHRIS VOWELL Mr. Spears, 80, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at his residence.   He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  Mr. Spears was a member and deacon of East Philadelphia Baptist Church where he had held numerous positions.  He had been treasurer of the Neshoba County Baptist Association.  He was a member of the Neshoba County Shrine Club and the Philadelphia Masonic Lodge.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict.  Paul was an avid fisherman.   Survivors include his wife, Theresa Spears; daughter, Gail Spears Sledge, both of Philadelphia; son, Jeffery Paul Spears and his wife, Dianne of Pearl; grandsons, Ben Spears of Nashville, TN and Michael Spears of Pearl; sister, Wannee Kent of Laurel and a host of nieces and nephews.   In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Gideons International or the charity of your choice.
