Robert Earl Sistrunk

DAN HOWARD Mr. Sistrunk, 68, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at his residence.   He was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia.  He retired from the Mississippi State Tax Commission and later worked for the Neshoba County Sheriff Department and as a bailiff at the courthouse.  Mr. Sistrunk was a member of North Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the Philadelphia Masonic Lodge.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary Sistrunk and sister, Linda Sue Townsend.   Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Kathleen Sistrunk; daughter, Pam Ward and her husband, Eddie; son, Richard Sistrunk, all of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Trent Cole, William Cole, Jackson Ward, Brady Sistrunk and Joel Sistrunk; sister, Eleanor Lambert of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Mike Sistrunk of Philadelphia and a number of nieces, nephews and their families.Pallbearers:  Allen Morgan, Travis Crimm, Barney Luther, Ernie Brents, Donnie Adkins and Mike Bartlett.
