CEMETERYRUSSELLVILLE, ALABAMA Mr. Allen, 88, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Neshoba County Nursing Home.   He was a native of Russellville, Alabama and had been a resident of Philadelphia since 1955.  He was retired from Tennessee Valley Authority as a heavy equipment operator.  Mr. Allen was a member of Philadelphia Church of Christ.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WWII.   Survivors include his wife, Luverna Allen of Philadelphia; sons, Danny Allen, Gary Allen and Christopher Allen all of Philadelphia; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Bertha Britenell and Ruby Allen both of Russellville, AL.
