WAYNE HILL Mrs. Helen Marie Sistrunk, 75, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at her residence. She was a native of Neshoba County and longtime Philadelphia resident. She retired from Wells-Lamont in Philadelphia. Mrs. Sistrunk attended BeaconStreet Baptist Church. She had done volunteer work with her husband through the Shrine Club and Neshoba Baptist Center. They received Volunteers of the Year Award in 2011 from the Baptist Center. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Levon Sistrunk of Philadelphia; daughters, Joyce S. Bicker of Byram, Judy S. Bates (Jim) of Philadelphia, and Jane S. Thomas (Steve) of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren, Helen Suzanne Robertson, James Timothy Bicker, Sarah Catherine Hudson, Jennifer Marie Gressett, Jeremy Wayne Thomas, Steven Mark Thomas, II, and Rachel Elizabeth Thomas; eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Annie Earl Goss Myers, Patricia Miller, Ruby Combs, and Sarah Speegle; brother, John Henry Perkins; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Sistrunk was preceded in death by a grandchild, Rebekah Lynn Blunt; great-grandchild, Britton Burkes Hudson; sisters, Laura Mae Wilkerson Davis and Arley Jo Perkins; and brother, Wilborn Gainey. Pallbearers are James Timothy Bicker, Steven Mark Thomas, II, Mickey Robertson, Brad Gressett, Larry Goss, and Dwight Sistrunk.
