GLYNN BARKERMrs. Lucill Coats, 87, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  She was retired from the nutrition department of Neshoba Central High School.  Mrs. Coats was a member of New Zion United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her daughters, Betty J. Smith (Olen T) of Union, Christine Johnson (Bobby) of Philadelphia and Frances Goldmon (Frankie) of Columbus; son, Norman Coats (Gail) of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Rita Watkins, Leigh Ann Mallard, Tonya Hardin and Ashley Platt; grandsons, Danny Smith, and Morrise Johnson; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace Guthrie, Maxine Alford and Winnie Pearl Eakes, all of Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Bell Coats; sister, Myrtle Coats; brothers, Kenneth Smith and Rufus Smith. Pallbearers:  Morrise Johnson, Don Johnson, Chaz Hardin, Steven Platt, Gary Watkins, Jr., Cody Smith, Brandon Hardin and Jeff Mallard.
