LAWRENCE POOL Mrs. Hannie Rebecca Carter, 94, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 in Neshoba County. She was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. Mrs. Carter was a member of Ocobla Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and gardening and was a former member of the Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include daughters, Gaynell Clay (Terry) of Covington, TN , Crispin Gilbert (Jimmy) of Cuthbert , GA and Becky Phillips (Jerry) of Philadelphia; son, John P. Carter (Linda) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ricky Don Clay (Jamie) of Auburn, AL, Walter Craig Clay (Kim) and Donna Carol Glenn (Chuck), all of Covington, TN; Sonja Lynn Rowland (Scot) of Blakely, GA, James Edward Tamsett Gilbert (Rhonda) of Atlanta, GA, Barry Wade Phillips (Missy) of Brandon, Wendy Ann Hines (Scott), Tracy Burnett Phillips (Jennifer), John Scott Carter, Sommer Dawn Vick (Michael) and Brandy Holley (Brian), all of Philadelphia; great-grandchildren, Terry Bradley Clay, Wesley Kyle Clay, Colton Carter Clay, Charles Jordan Glenn, Autumn Clay Glenn, Gabriel Nicole Glenn, Neely Rebecca Glenn, Auburn Brock Glenn, James Harrison Hill Thomas, Carter West Rowland, James Powell Gilbert, Clinton Tamsett Gilbert, William Edward Gilbert, Taylor Ann Phillips, Brandon Wade Phillips, Bradley Walker Phillips, Phillip Scott Hines, Julia Scott Hines, Dixie Rebecca Hines, Addy Walker Phillips, Ethan Carter, John Scott Carter, II, Abby Vick, Alli Vick, Jacob Vick, Blain Holley and Millie Holley; sisters, Myra Johnson and Walterine Myers, both of Philadelphia and several nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Carter, Jr., two daughters, Carol Lee Carter and Deborah Gail Carter.Pallbearers were Tracy Phillips, Barry Phillips, Rick Clay, Craig Clay, Scott Carter and Edward Gilbert.
