M.BIG OAK UNITED METHODIST CHURCH DEKALB, MSOFFICIATING:  REV. DEWAYNE WARREN REV. LAVELLE WOODRICK Mr. Neal, 97, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Damascus and Hopewell communities in Kemper County.  Mr. Neal was a member of Big Oak United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtis Harbour Neal. Survivors include his wife, Jean Neal of DeKalb; daughter, Peggy Neal Phillips (Jerry) of Hot Springs, AR ; step-daughter, Brenda G. Pender of Atlanta, GA; son, Joe Neal (Barbara) of DeKalb; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Willie C. Smith of Meridian; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Big Oak United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
