Green, 90, of Preston, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Preston community in Kemper County . He was a retired farmer. Mr. Green was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Agnes Fleming and her husband, Joe and Angela Clark; son, Guy D. (Wayne) Green and his wife, Mary, all of Louisville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Marylon Hall of Louisville and Idell Stokes of Preston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Agnes Green; wife, Johnnie Bateman Green; brother, Walter Green, Jr.; sisters, Maxine McDonald and Florrie Green; grandson, James Russell Fleming and granddaughter, Cynthia Marie Fleming. Pallbearers were Steve Triplett, Wally Triplett, Kenny Richardson, Larry Alexander, Jay McLendon and Lowell Goodin.
