JAMES MILNERMr. Smith, 78, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his residence in Philadelphia.He was born and reared in Leake County but moved to Philadelphia early in life where he made his home.  Mr. Smith was a member of Beacon Street Baptist Church where he served as a longtime deacon and Sunday School teacher.  He was retired manager of Shippers Express Truck Lines at the Philadelphia office.  He was a member of Philadelphia Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Mooney Smith of Philadelphia; daughter, Betty Smith and her husband, Larry of Philadelphia; grandson, Brent Smith and his wife, Rebecca; great-grandson, Bailey Windham and brother, Jim Moore of Dallas, Texas.He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Virgie Smith and his brother, Wilburn Smith.Pallbearers were Mack Jones, Raymond Bradley, Forrest Bridges, Brent Smith, Jason Blair and Robert Barham.
