M.MCCLAIN-HAYSINTERMENT:COYE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CEMETERYEdna Earl (Sanderson) McDonald, 83, of Monroe, LA, formerly of Preston, MS, passed from this life to her eternal home on September 27, 2013 at her home in the care of her loving family.Edna was born on August 24, 1930 in Neshoba County. Her home at birth was Noxapater.  She was the daughter of Boss and Mary Susan Sanderson. Edna married Harrison Cook McDonald.  They had four children: Rex, Sue, Sherry and Sheila. Early in their marriage, she and Cook farmed. Later, she worked at different factories in the surrounding towns. In Preston, Edna was a member of Coye Assembly of God for many years. She also attended DeKalb Assembly and various other fellowships where she taught Sunday School, preached, and ministered to others. She wrote several published Christian articles for local papers. Her devotion to her Lord was intense.  In Monroe, she most recently attended Swartz Assembly. Her twinkling eyes, beautiful smile, generous spirit and love for family and God will be greatly missed but never forgotten by her loving family and friends. Edna is preceded in death by two husbands, Harrison Cook McDonald and Jack Kniebert; her parents; four brothers: B.J, Arthur (wife Mary), Othar, and Thaddeus Sanderson; and three sisters: Hildred (husband Tom) Alford, and Mildred and Eunice Sanderson.Her loving children, left to cherish the memory of their Mother are son, Rex McDonald and his wife, Laura, of Denham Springs, LA, three daughters: Sue Moore of Butler, AL; Sherry Martin and her husband, Gene, of Monroe, LA and Sheila Alexander of Olive Branch, MS. Other surviving loved ones include granddaughters Pam (George) Colvin of Macon, MS; Carla (Trent) Moore of Alexandria, LA; Christy Crochet of Gonzales, LA; Erica McDonald of Baton Rouge, LA and Charity (Adam) Hill of Olive Branch, MS; and grandson, Jason (Sonia) Martin of Monroe, LA and 14 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her beloved sister, Mable ‘Make’ Daniels who was married to Jack Daniels and sister-in-law, Bonnie Jean Sanderson, both of Neshoba County and many nieces and nephews.The family extends a special thanks to Mother`s caregivers, Wilma Morgan and Irma Smith, St. Joseph Hospice staff, and Dr. Gregory Green.
