DAN HOWARDMrs. Stroud, 79, of Philadelphia, MS, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Carthage, MS. She had lived in Neshoba County for the past 40 years. Mrs. Stroud was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Doyce Stroud and her parents, Robert and Jewell Weir. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Stroud of Philadelphia; two sons, James Robert Stroud of Philadelphia and John Arvis Stroud and his wife, Judy of Eupora, MS; two grandchildren, Amelia Stroud and Eliott Stroud; one sister, June Emerson of Vicksburg, MS; one brother, Milton Weir of Mobile, AL and a host of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers were Bill Weir, Randy Hanna, Greg Weir, Keith Weir, Paul Emerson, Eliott Stroud and Bob Burt.
