CARL WHITEMrs. Marshall, 93, of DeKalb, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Regency Hospital of Meridian. She was a native and lifelong resident of Kemper County.  Mrs. Marshall was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She retired from Wells-Lamont Corp in Philadelphia and because of her love for people and outstanding personality she enjoyed her last working years as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Philadelphia.  She was honored as Mississippi’s Outstanding Older Worker. Survivors include her son, Gene Marshall (Judy) of Meridian; granddaughters, Kim Johnson (Matt) of Hattiesburg and Brooke Zellers (Randy) of Little Rock, AR; grandson, John Perry Marshall of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Rylee Johnson, Hadlee Johnson, Noah Zellers, and Alexandra Zellers; and brother, Felton George of Vancleave. Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Marshall; one sister and four brothers.Pallbearers were William Latimer, John Henry Marshall, Ed Malner, Matthew Johnson, Randy Zellers, John Perry Marshall and James Thompson.
