Mrs. Townsend was a member of Pearl Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman Odie and Lottie Perry Hill; husband, Ellis Townsend; two daughters, Joyce Faye Pearson and Sandra Paulette Williams; one granddaughter, Bobbie Jean Pearson; one grandson, Steven Rasberry;  two brothers, Willie D. Hill and Mansel Ray Hill; and two sisters, Bonnie Jean Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Hughes.  She is survived by one son, Ellis Devon Townsend (Hazel) of Brandon, MS; two grandsons, Michael Allen Pearson (Vanessa) and Jonathan David Rasberry of Fort Hood, TX ; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, James Odell Hill of Gautier, MS; and two sisters, Sue Hill Long of Biloxi, MS, and Helen Hill Perry of Maylene, AL.
