RUSTY WALTONPauline Bates Thomas was a native of the Beatline community in Neshoba County.  She resided in Lauderdale County for several years, and later Texas and Louisiana, before moving back to Neshoba County after retirement.  Mrs. Thomas was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her sister, Audine Joyner (Billy) of House; sisters-in-law, Sue Nell Bates of Philadelphia and Allie Sharp George of Jackson; nieces, Daree Johnson (Tony) and Brenda White; nephews, Bill Bates, Mike Joyner and Jimmy Bates (Susan); and several great-nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, J.K. Thomas;  parents, Dovie and Sarah Bates; and brothers, T.J. Bates and Willie Paul Bates.Pallbearers were Bill Bates, Mike Joyner, Jimmy Bates, Brian White, Jarrod Bates, John Carr Bates and Tony Johnson.
