JERRY GERMANY Mr. Purser, 72, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in Choctaw, MS, due to the results of Parkinson’s disease. He was born March 10, 1942 in Philadelphia, MS. He graduated from Riverside High School in Avon, MS, with a total of 10 academic awards. He was a longtime resident of Edinburg, MS. Mr. Purser attended Remus Baptist Church and Pine Grove Church of God in Edinburg. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; four brothers; one sister; and two nephews. Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Purser of Greenwood, MS and Fay Kiester of Filer, Idaho; and 10 nieces and nephews: Lisa, Edward, Sandra, Mary, Sherry, Steve, Ester, Cindy, Tera, and Russell. Memorial gifts may be sent to any Parkinson’s research organization.
