DAVID HARDYMr. Melton, 72, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the Arlington community in Neshoba County. He was a retired 42 year employee of U.S. Motors.  He spent his retirement hunting, fishing and farming.  Mr. Melton was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Penny Chiasson (Ron) of Portland, CT; step-son, Danny Watkins (Pat) of Union; grandchildren, Andrew, Thomas, and Michael Chiasson, all of Portland, CT, Orry Watkins of Union and Hannah Lewis (Richie) of Lena; sisters, Linda Waites of Water Valley and Martha McElhenney (Jimmy) of Decatur; brother, Rickey Melton (Nancy) of Philadelphia; and several nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Melton was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 33 years, Rita Alexander Melton and parents, Fannie Sue Warren and Buster Melton.Pallbearers were Ike Melton, Ben Melton, Clayton Waites, Colton Waites, Andrew Chiasson, Thomas Chiasson and Michael Chiasson.
