DAN HOWARDMrs. Burkes was born and reared in Neshoba County where she made her home all of her life.  Mrs. Burkes was a member of Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Robert Burkes and his wife, Gloria of Philadelphia and Marty Burkes of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Robin Parker and her husband, Victor, Chais Burkes, and Sam Burkes and his wife, Kristyn; and great-grandchildren; McKinley Parker and Taylor Shane Parker. Mrs. Burkes was preceded in death by her husband, Winford Burkes; parents, Alvin and Ammye Ouzts; and granddaughter, Maleiah Burkes. Pallbearers were Johnny Marshall, Clint Marshall, Adam Landrum, Tommy Barrett, Keith Agent, Tony Lewis and Keith Lillis.
