GARY HOWSE Mr. Kilpatrick, 69, of Newton, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was a native of Neshoba County.  He received his master’s degree in psychology and retired as a psychologist with the State of Mississippi.  He also received his theology degree and a master’s in nursing home administration.  Mr. Kilpatrick was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newton. Survivors include his daughter, Carol Groen of Pascagoula; son, John Kilpatrick of Magee; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Kilpatrick of Magee; grandchildren, John Thomas Kilpatrick II, Joseph Daniel Kilpatrick and Keeley Caroline Kilpatrick; sisters, Peggy Willis of Newton, Patsy Trussell of Grenada, Johnnie Smith Philadelphia and Nancy Cumberland of Philadelphia; brother, Harold Kilpatrick of Flora and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Smith Kilpatrick; daughter, Wendy Lea Kilpatrick; parents, J.O. and Sally Kilpatrick; sister, Mary Conn and brother, Jack Kilpatrick.Pallbearers were Wayne Rogers, Kalem Rogers, Cody Rogers, Marty Willis, Bradley Willis, Steve Womack and Richard Smith.
