DAVID RICHARDSON Mr. Wilcher, 77, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 2, 2015 at his home in the Good Hope Community.  He was born and raised in Leake County, Mississippi and made his home for most of his adult life in Philadelphia. Baptist by faith, Mr. Wilcher was a gifted craftsman, gardener and former law enforcement officer with the Philadelphia and Carthage Police Departments in addition to Constable for District 4 in Philadelphia.  Mr. Wilcher managed local and regional mercantile to include Shaneburgs, Freds, United Dollar and his own local establishment, Alan’s Fashions. Survivors are his wife, Christine Gentry Wilcher; son, Kevin Wilcher of Philadelphia, MS; brothers, Troy and Pete Wilcher, both of Leake County, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Wilcher was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Betty Wilcher and his brother, Otha Wilcher.  His sister, Evelyn Burchfield passed away on the same day as Mr. R. L.Pallbearers were Kevin Fedrick, Mark Whittle, Shayne Draughon, Michael Jackson, Nick Sharp and Geronimo Mendez.
