TOBY BATES Mrs. Hegwood, 89, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Neshoba County General Hospital. She was born and reared in Neshoba County where she made her home early in life. She lived in Jackson for many years before moving back to her family home.  Mrs. Hegwood was a member of North Bend United Methodist Church.  She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Forest Hill Chapter # 342. Survivors include her husband, Joe Hegwood, Sr. of Philadelphia; daughters, Jan Evans (Ben) of Madison, Cindy Jenkins (Butch) of Madison and Skyla Hailey (Bryan) of Preston; son, Joe Hegwood, Jr. of Byram; grandchildren, Sara Pope, Ben Evans and Kelsey Hatch; great-grandchildren, Ava Grace Hatch, Shelby Harper Hatch, John Wyatt Pope and Charlotte Evans Pope; and sister, Dorothy Sue Fulton of Philadelphia. Mrs. Hegwood was preceded in death by her sisters, Lydia Barrier, Hazel Stokes and Dollie Nance; and brothers, Woodrow Green and Ivan Green.
