DAVID RICHARDSON Mrs. Blackmon, 88, of Madden, MS, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of the Madden community of Leake County.  Mrs. Blackmon was Baptist by faith. Survivors include her daughters, Mary “ Bea” Thornton, Joy Yerian, Audrey Enlow, all of Madden; sons, Miller Thornton of Walnut Grove, Fred Thornton of Brandon, Mark Thornton of Palestine, Texas and Hilton Thornton of Madden; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and brother, Odis Bradshaw of Smithville. Mrs. Blackmon was preceded in death by her daughter, Gaye Walker; sons, Doug and Stanley Thornton; husbands, Howard Blackmon and Curtis Thornton.
