BEN LAIRD Mrs. Clara Hardy, 88, of Union, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at J.G. Alexander Nursing Center in Union. She was a native and longtime resident of the House community in Neshoba County, MS.  She graduated from House High School and attended East Central Community College.  She retired from the Department of Human Services-Youth Court Services in 1992.  Mrs. Hardy was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Adult VI Sunday School class. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Croswell (Tim) of Philadelphia; son, Rev. David Hardy (Fay) of Union; six grandchildren, Patrick Croswell (Pam) of Union, Kimberly Long (Rusty) of Union, Michelle Lewis (Jeff) of Meridian, Renee Mowdy (Chris) of Union, David Ray Hardy of Union and Andrew Hardy (fiancée, Lauren Harrell) of Meridian; nine great-grandchildren, Josh Sessums, Seth Sessums, Mary Clara Sessums, Abi Mowdy, Hannah Mowdy, Mary Kate Hardy, Caden Long, Maggie Wade Long and Tessa Kate Croswell; sister, Dot Dearing of Union; and brothers, Edgar Ray Killen, Bobby Killen of Union and J.D. Killen of Philadelphia. Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Curtis Hardy; parents, Ray and Etta Killen; brothers, Roy Gene “Shorty” Killen, Jerry Killen and Kenneth Killen; and great-grandson, Jordan Taylor Sessums.Pallbearers were Jimmy Smith, David Hardy II, Chris Mowdy, Josh Sessums, Rusty Long, Jeff Lewis, Patrick Croswell and Andrew Hardy.  Honorary pallbearers were Seth Sessums, Caden Long, Thomas White, Quinton Goforth, Gerald Knight, Doyce Herrington and Jim Rigdon.
