UNTIL SERVICE TIMEREMUS BAPTIST CHURCH EDINBURG, MSOFFICIATING:  BRO. DON COOKBRO. EDDIE PILGRIMMr. Pope, 72, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, February 11, 2016, in Leake County. He was a native of the Remus community in Leake County and had been a resident of the Bloomo community in Neshoba County for the past 40 years. He was co-owner of C & D Building Supply, co-owner of P & P Nursery, and formerly employed with U.S. Motors in Philadelphia.  Mr. Pope was a member of Remus Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School director. Survivors include his wife, Pat Pope of Philadelphia; son, Phillip Pope of Philadelphia; daughter, Teresa Powers of Pearl; grandson, Ethan Pope of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Mandy Dennis of Carthage, Jessi Burns of Carthage, and Presleigh Powers of Pearl; sister, Linda Salers of Edinburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Mr. Pope was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Caitlin Pope; grandson, Phineas Pope; parents, Presley and Pearl Pope; and brother, Doyce Pope. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of Remus Baptist Church.
