CHRIS RICHARDSON  Mrs. Brenda Kay Edens, 67, of Noxapater, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016. She was born and reared in Neshoba County.  She made her home in Detroit, Michigan, for a number of years and moved back to Neshoba County in 1979.  She was retired from Wells Lamont Corporation.  Mrs. Edens was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. Survivors include her sons, James Kevin Edens of Noxapater and Jason Lee Edens (Jesse) of Philadelphia; granddaughter, Alexus Jade Edens of Philadelphia; sisters, Emma Jean Schlegel of Philadelphia and Wanda Lovern of Philadelphia; and brother, Michael David Barnes of Meridian. Mrs. Edens was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Edens; son, Michael Alan Edens; father, David R. Barnes; mother, Helen Barnes; and brother, Prentiss Barnes.Pallbearers were Larry Lillis, LaShane Lovern, Robert Lovern, Rev. Chris Richardson, Steve Schlegel and Phillip Withers.
