Pilgrim Jayroe, 85, of Philadelphia, died Friday, August 26, 2016, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. She was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County and was retired from Garan Manufacturing after 38 years as an inspector. Mrs. Jayroe was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Jurene Jayroe Nowell Jenkins and her son, Charles Jethro Jayroe, both of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Amber Nowell Fortenberry, Angel Nowell Branning and Kurt May, all of Philadelphia; great-grandchildren, Taylor Kilburn, Devyn Jayroe-Kilburn, both of Fair Play, SC, Charles Dolten Matthews, Johnny Wesley Nowell, Charlee Netherland, Jarrette Jayroe, Bentlee Wayne Nowell, Raylea May and Brayden May, all of Philadelphia; great-great-grandson, Jason Clyde Thomas of Fair Play, SC; and sister, Nell Ryals of Philadelphia. Mrs. Jayroe was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Vestrie Pilgrim; husband, Charles “Dub” Jayroe; grandchildren, David Jayroe and Charlotte Jean McMahan; great-grandchildren, Dylan Jayroe and Levi Walker Nowell; and sister, Lena Mae Ellinngburg.Pallbearers were Jarrett Jayroe, Dalton Matthews, Jarron Branning and David Barrett.
