RONNIE MALONEREV. LEE WATSONREV. MITCHELL MCDONALD Mr. McDonald, 75, of Preston, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Preston Community in Kemper County.  He worked in construction as a sheetrock hanger/finisher for 20 years and later worked at Weyerhaeuser in Philadelphia until retirement.  Mr. McDonald was a member of Coye Assembly of God Church.  He was a cattle farmer and avid hunter. Survivors include his wife of 53 ½ years, Reda McDonald of Preston; two sons, Doug McDonald of Preston, Allen (Mary Lynn) McDonald of Preston; four grandchildren, Raney, Sarah, Ashlee and Champ McDonald; sister, JoAnn (Gene) Burnham of House, MS; brother, Terry (Beth) McDonald of Preston; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his father, Champ McDonald; mother, Ruby McDonald Nowell; step-father, Marvin Nowell; sister, Mary Elizabeth “Sis” Rigdon; and brother, Yates McDonald.  Pallbearers were Shawn Luke, John Stokes, Grady Stokes, Stan Copeland, Jeff Goodin, Randall Thompson, Kenny Richardson and Sterling Stewart.
