EARL FERGUSON Mr. Howard Ferguson, 74, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.He was a native and lifelong resident of the Arlington community in Neshoba County and had served in the U. S. Army. He retired from Philadelphia Utilities after 38 years of service. After retirement, he worked as a self-employed electrical contractor. Mr. Ferguson was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia. He was an avid quail hunter, bird dog trainer, and an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Ferguson of Philadelphia; son, Richard Ferguson (Alexa) of DeKalb; daughter, Melissa Sawyer (Sydney) of Morton; grandchildren, Kaylee Ferguson, Jordan Sawyer, Emilee Sawyer and Kameron Ferguson; sisters, Wilma Dansby of Pascagoula, Ollie Mae McDaniel (Ben) of Laurel Hill; brothers, Joe Ferguson (Lynn), Earl Ferguson (Janie) and Ed Ferguson, all of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Judy Ferguson of Brandon; and a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his parents, Oma and Mairner Ferguson; brother, David Ferguson; sisters, Frances Spears and Mary Ferguson; brother-in-law, Dwayne Dansby.Pallbearers were Larry Lillis, John Burt, Steve Johnson, Glenn Pierce, Stanley Tolbert, Craig Nowell, Nathan Kirkland and Alvin Neese. Honorary pallbearers were Herman Reid, Mary Dewease, Evelyn Burkes, Patsy McKinion, Greg Lewis, James Harris, Eddie Kirkland, Thomas Gamblin and Ricky Griffin.
