JON MARTIN Mrs. Thomas, 70, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at her daughter’s home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  She retired from Neshoba Central High School where she worked as a secretary for 25 years in the counselor’s office.  Mrs. Thomas was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church where she enjoyed senior adults functions and her Sunday School Class.  She was a member of Neshoba County Retired Teachers’ Association.  Survivors include her two daughters, Amy Martin (Craig) and Heather Irby (Joey), both of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Meg, Will and Seth Martin and Taylor, John Robert and Peyton Irby; sister, Marjorie Payne (Hoyt) of Philadelphia; and several nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Thomas in 2010; infant granddaughter, Faith Martin; parents, Roy and Ollie Laney; sisters, Peggy Nowell and Marie Lewis; and brothers, Hugh Laney, Royce Laney and Dewitt Laney. Pallbearers are Kevin Jackson, Chris Jackson, Tyler Moore, Brian Anderson, Thomas Allen, Mark Nowell, Brady Anderson, Chris Laney, Danny Laney and Eli Anderson.  Honorary pallbearers are Taylor Irby, John Robert Irby, Will Martin, Seth Martin, Peyton Irby, Charles Allen and Hoyt Payne.
