SERVICES: TUESDAY OCTOBER 10, 2017 11:00 A.M. MCCLAIN HAYS CHAPEL VISITATION: MONDAY OCTOBER 9, 2017 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. MCCLAIN HAYS INTERMENT: GOODHOPE CEMETERY OFFICIATING: REV. JOHNNY PEDENAND REV. MACK ALFORD. He was a native of Vowelltown in Attala County but had lived in Neshoba County for all of his adult life and was a graduate of Zama School in Attala County.  He retired from Owens Corning in 1990; then drove a school bus for Philadelphia Public School for 13 years.  He served in the U.S. Army for two years and the U.S. Air Force for four years.  Mr. Hamilton was a member of Beacon Street Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Vivian Hamilton of Philadelphia; son, Sidney E.  Hamilton, II (Melinda) of Carthage; grandchildren, Heather Jenson and Sidney Brooks Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Sidney Trey Hamilton, Allison Hamilton, Michael Montemayor, Kyle Jenson, Luke Jenson; brother, Clifford Hamilton of Hattiesburg; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his sister, Inez Peebles; brother, Hartness Hamilton; his parents, Sidney W. and Susie Hamilton. Pallbearers will be Chris Peden, Randy Watkins, Jeremy Watkins, Brooks Hamilton, Kyle Jenson and Trey Hamilton.
