SAM HUGHES Mr. Claude Ferguson, 85, of Canton, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.   He was a native of Neshoba County and had been a resident of Canton for the past 40 years.  He was a retired computer analyst for U.S. Steel in Birmingham.  Mr. Ferguson was a member of Lone Pine Baptist Church in Canton.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Odessa Ferguson in 2008; and several brothers and sisters.   Survivors include two sisters, Euna Hollis of Carthage and and Eula Thompson of Philadelphia; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
