(Teasley) Matthews, 94, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at his residence in Philadelphia.   He was a lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.  Mr. Matthews was a member of Coldwater Baptist Church.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Minnie Ola Matthews; wife, Opal Matthews; son, Randy Matthews; brother, Arvis Matthews; twin sisters, Selma Matthews and Thelma Matthews and sister, Mazell Jones.   Survivors include his son, Gary Matthews of Iuka; daughter, Sharon Goss of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; stepson, Loyd Lawrence of Pascagoula; brothers, R. B. Matthews of Savannah, GA and H. C. Matthews of Philadelphia; sisters, Betrude Sistrunk and Ruth Matthews, both of Philadelphia.
