FRED BRITTON Mr. McNeil, 85, of Philadelphia, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Neshoba County Nursing Home.   He was a native and long time resident of Neshoba County and made his home in the Hope Community for many years.  He was a retired forester from Weyerhaeuser in Philadelphia.  Mr. McNeil was a member of First United Methodist Church.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was a long time member of VFW.   Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" McNeil of Philadelphia; sons, John McNeil and his wife, Denise of Caledonia and Gregg McNeil and his wife, Marie of Manson, NC; grandchildren, Laura McNeil, Megan McNeil, Jamie McNeil, and Tyler McNeil; sister, Carole Johnson of Atmore, AL; brother, Sam McNeil of Newland, NC; and a number of nieces, nephews, and their families.
