BRIAN WEIR Mr. Thornton, 61, died Monday, December 6, 2010 at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He was a native of Leake County and a former resident of Texas and Arkansas. He had made his home in the Madden Community of Leake County for the past 15 years. Mr. Thornton was a long time overland truck driver. He was Christian by faith. He served in the U.S. Marines. Survivors include daughters, Stephanie Cooper of Bee Branch, AR and Synthia Bradshaw of Choctaw, AR; sons, Bryan Thornton of Madden, Greg Thornton of Enola, AR, Curtis Thornton of Madden, and Matt Thornton of Gore Springs; 21 grandchildren; mother, Odessa B. Blackmon of Madden; sisters, Bea Thornton, Joy Yerian, and Audrey Enlow all of Madden; and brothers, Miller Thornton of Madden, Fred Thornton of Madden, Mark Thornton of Italy, TX, and Hilton Thornton of Madden.
