Bonnie Ruth Perry Cole

September 14, 1919 — December 13, 2010

Bonnie Ruth Perry Cole passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2010 at her daughter's home, Mobile, AL.  She was a long time resident of Jackson/Brandon, MS, and had lived in Mobile since 2004.   She was born September 14,1919 in Philadelphia, MS to the late Charles L. Perry, MD and Ida Viola Perry.  She graduated from Arlington High School.  Ms. Cole retired from Gayfers Department Store, credit office, in Jackson, MS.  She was a member of St. Mark's Methodist Church, Brandon, MS.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Hunter Cole.   Survivors include her daughter, Hunter Jo-Ann Cole Gaston, Mobile, AL; her son, LTC Perry E. Cole, US Army, (Ret), Virginia Beach, VA; and grandchildren, R. Hunter Hardy, Atlanta, GA, Bonnie Jill Rawls, Mobile, AL, Michael Cole, Fairfax, VA, and Lisa Hass, Richmond, VA.  Ms. Cole leaves 10 great-grandchildren.   A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Methodist Church, Brandon.  Graveside service will be held December 17 at 3:00 PM at Cedarlawn Cemetery, Philadelphia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's Methodist Church or a favorite charity.   The family wishes to express a special thank you to her loyal caregivers and to Saad's Hospice, Mobile, AL.
