Alan Ray "Bud" Foster

Funeral Services for Alan Ray “Bud” Foster will be held Monday, June 22, 2026 at 12 noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Jerry Wilkerson officiating.  Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 22, 2026 from 10 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mr. Foster,71, passed away at his daughter’s residence in Long Branch, TX on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Bud was born in New Orleans, LA and was raised in Slidell, LA, but he had spent the last several months with his daughter in Long Branch, TX. He was a longtime sheet rock finisher and also worked for a period of time at a thrift shop. He loved to collect antiques of any kind, shopping at thrift stores, flea markets, and riding his go-cart. Alan was Baptist by faith. He dearly loved his family and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Gail Kiper (Bubba) of Long Branch, TX; grandchildren, Della Kiper, Weston Kiper (Zoe), Lucee Jacks (Bryan), Tristin Kiper (Jessica), Brenden Kiper and Kyla Kiper; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Marie Poole (Roger) of Philadelphia, MS and Dorothy Turner (Rocky) of Picayune, MS; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents, Oakley Ray and Helen Jean Foster; niece, Tina Poole Lesley. 

Pallbearers will be Weston Kiper, Bryan Jacks, Justin Hendrix, Preston McLaurin, Hunter McLaurin and Joshua Hendrix.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ethan Alawine and Cody Alawine.
