Amber Fay Burton

Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at McClain-Hays Chapel with the interment to follow in the Sandtown Cemetery. Rev. Daniel Minor will officiate. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday until service time at McClain-Hays.

Amber Fay Burton, 91, of Oxford, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. 

A native of Neshoba County, Mrs. Burton was known for her vibrant spirit and love for life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family, canning, and traveling to the Smoky Mountains. Above all, she cherished the moments spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Mrs. Burton was a devoted member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa (Squeaky) Stewart of Loxley, AL; sons, Dan (Diane) Burton of Lexa, AR, and Don Burton of Oxford; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Kitty Skelton of Gautier, along with a host of nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles H. Burton, and two daughters, Belinda French and Beth Gallagher. 

Amber Fay Burton will be remembered for her love, warmth, and the enduring legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of her family and friends.
