C., and long-term resident of Florida, he moved to Mississippiin 1975, where he made his residence. Mr. Shepherd was a member of Bethsaida BaptistChurch.Survivors include his sons, Barry Shepherd (Becky) of Houston, TX, Mitch Shepherd (Francie)of Jacksonville, FL, and Jeff Shepherd (Tammy) of Philadelphia, MS; eight grandchildren, JasonShepherd (Bekk), Justin Shepherd (Nikki), Josh Shepherd (Rebecca), Haley Shepherd, JarrodShepherd, Beau Shepherd, Todd Shepherd (Emily), Shanna Donald (Derick); six great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Gibson of Greensboro, N. C.; brothers, Ralph Shepherd of Lenoir, N. C., Larry Shepherd of Lansing, N. C., Gary Shepherd of Oak Ridge, N. C.; and a host of nieces and nephews.Mr. Shepherd was preceded in death by his wife, Naoma Shepherd; parents, Orin and Nettie Shepherd; sister, Alta Kutz; and brother, Norman Shepherd.Pallbearers were Jeff Winstead, Kent Winstead, Billy Spears, Jack Conn, Dennis Williams, Bunkie Smith, Terry Winstead and Ben Brummett.
