For 52 years, he shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Rhonda George Caldwell, building a home centered on faith, love, and family.
He is survived by his children, Mandy Marx (Ramsey) and Josh Caldwell (Krista). His greatest joy was being “Pop” to his grandchildren: Randa Marx Wristen (Travis), Brantley Marx, Cole Caldwell, and Eli “B” Caldwell. Of all the titles he carried in life, his favorite was undoubtedly Pop.
Bro. Randy is also survived by his step-sister Fran Sockwell (Skip); his aunts Connie Eldridge and Mary Lou Quick; and many extended family members and lifelong friends. He held a special place in his heart for his dear friends Tammy, Bubba, Brenley, and Kayden Stevens, as well as his faithful four-legged companion, Hunter.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mavis Harbour Caldwell; his father, Bob Caldwell (Sara); his step-brother, Wayne Hurtt; and his grandparents, Jack and Josephine Harbour and Curtis and Lena Caldwell.
Bro. Randy was a devoted minister of the Gospel who spent much of his life serving the Lord and faithfully sharing God’s Word. Whether behind the pulpit, visiting with church members, or offering prayer and encouragement to someone in need, he approached ministry with humility and compassion. His life was a testimony of faith, and he worked tirelessly to point others to Christ and to serve the communities and congregations he loved.
He loved his family deeply and was happiest when surrounded by them. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. He was also a talented carpenter who took pride in working with his hands and helping others whenever he could.
Bro. Randy will be remembered for his strong faith, kind spirit, and the love he shared so freely. His life was a testimony of service, humility, and devotion to God and family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
