Cecil D. Jones

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at New Zion Pentecostal Church, with interment to follow at Henry's Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Randell Dunaway and Bro. Jason Martin will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and 1:00 pm until service time on Wednesday at the church.

Cecil D. Jones was a native of Kemper County and lived most of his life in Neshoba County. He was drafted into the Army early in life and deployed to Vietnam. After returning home from overseas, he began working for Kraylors Manufacturing in Meridian and married the love of his life, Annette, in 1971. He later began working at Weyerhaeuser as a saw filer, retiring in 2009. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family, and especially loved riding his side-by-side with his fur babies.

Mr. Jones was a member of New Zion Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Annette Wilson Jones; his daughter, Kim (Jode Haynes) Jones; and his grandson, Cadan Jones, all of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Willie Bell Jones, eight sisters, and two brothers.
