Funeral Services for Charlie O. Moody will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Mike Hart officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held on Saturday May 31, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays.
Charlie Oneal Moody was born in Wilson, Arkansas to Charlie T. and Eva Moody. Charlie attended Arlington And Neshoba Central Schools. After high School he joined the U.S. Air Force where he served eleven years and served with distinction at the Pentagon. After retiring from the military, he formed Moody & Son Construction. He later started working in the railroad industry with ICG Railroad. Charlie ended his railroad career with KCS Railroad. He enjoyed Nascar, Dirt Track, anything Ford, especially mustangs, gardening, tomatoes was his specialty. Charlie also enjoyed fishing and hunting in his earlier days. He attended Mallaeu UMC, but was a member at Cedar Hill Baptist church. He was loved by all, he was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. Charlie will be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by wife of 32 years, Pam Moody of Brookhaven, MS; daughters, Cindy Pitts of Philadelphia, MS, Susan Snow (Darrel) of Philadelphia, MS and Melissa Gray (Wes) of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren, Randy Burks, Justin Snow, Brittany Jackson(Patrick), Bryan Snow, Addison Gray (Julia), Madden Gray, Mary Kate Gray and Aiden Pitts; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Guidry; brother, Max Moody (Judy), Parker Moody (Linda), a host of several nieces, nephews, friends and there families.
He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mary Moody; parents, Charlie T. and Eva Moody; sister, Ouida Ferguson; mother-in-law, Mary Thornhill Hampton; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Raphel and Estelle Nowell
