Services for Cynthia Ann Eakes will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 10 a. m. until time of service. Mrs. Eakes, 66, died April 1, 2018, at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. She was a graduate of Neshoba Central High School and worked at U. S. Motors for several years. She was an avid animal lover and loved to fish. Mrs. Eakes attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter, Kimberly Ann Eakes of Philadelphia; son, Bryan (Melanie) Eakes of Meridian; grandchildren, Eli, Eakes, Stephen Eakes and Blake Files; sister, Rebecca Parker of Philadelphia; mother-in-law, Leota Barrett of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Eakes was preceded in death by husband, Harry Mitchell Eakes; parents, J. V. and Annie Pearl Edwards; sister, Brenda Duncan and husband Pat; brother, Bud Edwards; and brother-in-law, David Parker. Pallbearers are Brandon Heflin, Eddie Nowell, Scotty Duncan, Brian Smith, Hugh Collins, Jon David Collins, Eli Eakes and Stephen Eakes.
