Danny Keith Daniels, 68, of Pearl, Mississippi, passed away on June 13, 2026, in Pearl, Mississippi.

Danny was born on March 22, 1958, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, to Marlyn Cecil Daniels and Bobbie Parker Daniels.

Danny retired from the Mississippi Department of Transportation after more than 18 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed football and was a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints, as well as fantasy football, NASCAR, spending time with family and friends, and playing darts. Danny was a longtime member of the Greater Jackson Dart Association and played league darts for many years until his health no longer allowed him to continue.

Danny also enjoyed creating personalized signs and custom gifts for his family and friends, something he took great pride in sharing with those he loved. He also had a special love for Hot Wheels and Ford Mustangs, passions that brought him joy and reflected his fun-loving spirit. These hobbies and interests were just a few of the many ways Danny expressed his creativity and generosity, leaving lasting memories with everyone who knew him.

Danny is survived by his sister, Marsha Daniels of Richmond, Virginia; as well as David and Rachel Castle of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, and their children, Brooke Castle Davis (Hunter) of Madison, Mississippi; David Bradley Castle of Hazlehurst, Mississippi; Kameron Castle Boyles (Brian) of Puckett, Mississippi; and Seth Castle of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, who he considered family after more than 30 years of friendship and love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Parker Daniels and Marlyn Cecil Daniels; his stepmother, Virginia Daniels; his maternal grandparents, J.D. and Louise Parker; and his paternal grandparents, Johnny Ben and Bonnie Daniels.

Danny will be remembered for his creativity, his love of sports, his loyal friendships, and the time he spent with those closest to him.

McClain-Hays Funeral Service is handling arrangements. The family will hold a private service with burial at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
