Debra Ann Drury (Ward), 63, of Plattsburg, Mississippi, passed away on April 30, surrounded by the love of her family.

Debra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She was a loving teacher who dedicated her life to guiding and shaping the lives of children, leaving a lasting impact on countless students. Above all, she was a faithful child of God whose life reflected her strong Christian values, faith in Christ, and unwavering trust in the Lord Jesus.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mark Drury; her children, Kristian Drury (Cory), Jacob Drury (Courtney), and Joshua Drury (Madison); and her cherished grandchildren, Ashtyn Drury, Kaleigh Swearingen, Kate Drury, Mamie Phillips, Aiden Drury, Kinsley Drury, Isaac Drury, Reiney Drury, Genesis Drury, and Malachi Drury. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Ann McAdory; her mother-in-law, Jo Merle Drury; her siblings, Alan “Bo” Ward and April Miller; her special cousin who was like a sister, Michelle Springfield; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Ward; her stepfather, Jon McAdory; and her father-in-law, Douglas Drury.

Debra found great joy in her family and took pride in being a guiding light in their lives. Her kindness, strength, and faith were evident to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and all those she influenced.

Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 18:2:“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Debra’s life was a testament to that faith, and while she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord Jesus.
