Funeral Services for Don Crawford will be held on Monday August 25, 2025 at 12 Noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Mark Cloys, Dr. Doug Broome and Bro. Mike Skinner officiating. Interment will follow in the Sandtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday August 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays.
Don was born on May 24,1947 to Willard and Ola Mae Gamblin Crawford. Don attended East Neshoba School and Neshoba Central High School. After graduating from high school, Don attended East Central Junior College and University of Southern Mississippi, where he played basketball. After college, Don worked at the Neshoba County Co-op. Don joined the Army National Guard 114th Military Police Unit and later joined the 186th Civil Engineering/Refueling Unit. He was employed by the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier. He later retired from the Air National Guard and Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lynda Sharp Crawford; daughters Penny Crawford Tubbs (Shawn) and Paula Crawford Robinson (Josh); grandchildren Colton Tubbs (Holly), Madalyn Tubbs, Briley Tubbs, Sadie Robinson, Sophie Robinson; brother, Mike Crawford, and sister, Donna Crawford Anthony (Tyrone). Also surviving are a multitude of nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death his parents, Willard and Ola Mae Crawford; brothers, Eric Crawford, Gary Crawford, and Tony Crawford.
Don loved his wife, children and most of all his grandchildren. He was an active member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church where he served in the choir for many years. Don loved the Lord and had a servant’s heart.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Crawford, Jody Sharp, Marty Crawford, Mike Crawford, Scott Joyner and Tanner Sharp.
In lieu of flowers family request all memorials be made to Gideons International or Wounded Warrior Foundation.
