Donnie Wayne Montgomery, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away on June 2, 2026. He was the son of Senior Chief Manuel Lee Montgomery and Suzainne Montgomery.

Although his childhood was spent moving throughout the country as his father served in the United States Navy, Donnie proudly called Neshoba County home for more than 40 years. He graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 1987 and later attended East Central Community College, where he earned an Associate Degree in Electronics.

It was during his time at East Central that he met the love of his life, Jil. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this July. Donnie and Jil were blessed with two daughters, Skyler and Halle Montgomery, who were among his greatest joys and proudest accomplishments.

Those who knew Donnie will remember him as a man of many passions. He was a talented musician, a skilled marksman, a motorcycle enthusiast, and a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Donnie was also a member of Mars Hill Church, where he served as a deacon.

Donnie is survived by his parents, Senior Chief Manuel Lee Montgomery and Suzainne Montgomery; his wife, Jil Montgomery; his daughters, Skyler Montgomery and Halle Montgomery; and his sister, Kathryn Calvert. Donnie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
