Dorothy Clark Jolly

March 9, 1927 — May 16, 2018

Services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Duvall and Dr. Dan Howard officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2018, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Interment will be in Hope Cemetery.   Dorothy went to be with her Lord on May 16, 2018, at Neshoba Nursing Home. Dorothy Clark Jolly was born on March 9, 1927, in Neshoba County.  She lived most of her life in the Hope community.  In her later years she moved into Philadelphia. Dorothy was a child of God and served Him for many years at Hope Baptist Church and later at First Baptist Church.  She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years.  During Vacation Bible School you would find her working with the children on craft projects. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, wood burning, reading and spending time in God’s Word. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Huffman (Hank); her son, Larry Smith; and her sister-in-law, Charlene Clark; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Jolly; her parents, Jess and Lessie Clark; brothers, Wilver, James and Clilton Clark; and her great-grandchild, Morgan Ann Story. Pallbearers are  Junior White, Buddy White, Bobby Winstead, Jerry Barnes, Eddie Jolly and Lee Winstead.
