Ethel Lynn "Lonnie" Goforth

Memorial services for Ethel Lynn “Lonnie” Goforth will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2 p.m. from Mt. Olive Baptist Church in House Community.

Mrs. Goforth, 84, of Union passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Lonnie was born in Illinois and left a piece of her heart there when she married the love of her life, Pat and moved to Union, MS. She loved to play with her grandchildren, feeding baby cows and flowers.

Survivors include daughter, Cheryl “Sherry” Burnside (Red); son, Johnny Goforth (Jeri); grandchildren, Amanda Ray (John), Paige Seward (Tyler), Zach Goforth (Krystle) and Alex Goforth (Hannah); great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kevin, Kellcey, Heagan, Tripp, Trace, Brylee and Lizzy; great-great grandchildren; Tucker, Everleigh and Danica; brothers, Bill and Terry Mickow of Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews and their families from Illinois.

Mrs. Goforth was preceded in death by husband, Pat Goforth; parents, Harold and Ethel Mickow.
