Floyd Sanderson

Funeral Services will be held for Floyd Sanderson on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from McClain Hays Chapel with  Bro. Chris Gully and Bro. Allen Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at McClain-Hays.

Floyd Sanderson was born in Neshoba County to BJ and Bonnie Sanderson. Floyd attended Bond School, Lynville School and later graduated from Dekalb High School. He worked in various positions around Neshoba County with Central Water, US Motors, State of MS Dot as a motor vehicle controller, and Witco where he retired. He was a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard for six years. Floyd loved to hunt, fish (especially grinnell) and he loved watching westerns. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. Floyd was a long-time member of Lynville Community Church, where he accepted his lord and savior Jesus Christ at an early age. Floyd was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 52 years Vicky Sanderson of Preston, MS; daughter, Amy Sanderson of Philadelphia, MS; son, Andy Sanderson (Megan) of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren Zoey Sanderson, Parker Sanderson, Preston Sanderson; sisters, Barbara White and Ann Coghlan (Richard); brother Joe Sanderson (Teresa) and Charles Sanderson; along with several nieces, nephews, and their families.

Floyd was preceded in death by parents, BJ and Bonnie Sanderson; brothers Roy Sanderson and Jasper Sanderson; father and mother-in-law Tillman and Carolyn Skipper.

Pallbearers will be Scott Sanderson, Jamie Sanderson, Greg Sanderson, Brian Sanderson, Wade Coghlan, Josh Coghlan and Caleb Sanderson.

In Lieu of flowers the family request all memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Lynville Community Church.
