Keith Gilbert

Services for Keith Gilbert will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Carroll Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Newton County. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  Mr. Gilbert, 72, of Little Rock, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at his home.  He was a native of Linwood community of Neshoba County and longtime resident of Little Rock community of Newton County.  He retired from U. S. Motors in Philadelphia after 34 years.  Mr. Gilbert was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Gilbert of Little Rock; daughter, Lisa Gilbert Thompson (Virgil) of Salem, Virginia; sons, James Gilbert (Melody) of Little Rock, John Gilbert (Amanda) of Linwood; nine grandchildren, Christopher Pearson, Justin Gilbert, Kimberly Gilbert, Stephanie Todd, Jordyn Gilbert, Jonathan Gilbert, Alex Gilbert, Connor Gilbert and Pierce Allen Gilbert; four great-grandchildren, Kayden Simpson, Lynda Edwards, Hazel Todd and Isaiah Todd; and one brother, Jimmy Lee Gilbert of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mable Gilbert; father, E. D. Gilbert; brothers, John and George Gilbert; and sister, Eva D. Barrett. Pallbearers are Christopher Pearson, Alex Gilbert, Ricky Gilbert, Speedy Barrett, Larry Morgan and Tommy Moore.  Honorary pallbearers are Connor Gilbert, Pierce Allen Gilbert and Colby Todd. In lieu of flowers family requests all donations be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital.
