George Dennis

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 2 p.m. from Sandtown Cemetery with Bro. David Richardson officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

George Dennis, 80, of Philadelphia passed away on April 24, 2026

George was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He was a professional welder and began his career at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula and later worked with Weyerhaeuser and Olen Burrage.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing and growing a garden but especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Elaine Dennis; daughters, Paula Crocker and Kristi (Robert) Sharp; sons, Keith Dennis, Bobby (Natasha) McDaniel, Jeff (Melissa) McDaniel, Clayton (Pam) Dennis, and Jamey (Tammy) Clark; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Veazey; a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Dennis; daughter, Felecia Deutsch; grandson, Auston Clark; granddaughter, Samantha Lee Butts; parents, George and Betty Dennis; sisters, Inez May and Betty Pearl McDaniel; son-in-law, Neal Crocker.
